Health Promotion
Campaspe PCP Health Promotion Principles
These principles were developed as an outcome of our health promotion strategic planning process and reflect the expectations and aspirations of members. The first five principles are based on direct input from members while the other seven principles are existing principles for health promotion developed by the Department of Human Services.
When planning and delivering health promotion Campaspe PCP will:
- Be flexible and transparent in working and funding arrangements.
- Maximise catchment wide processes and coverage.
- Foster creative and open thinking.
- Maximise use of member and community resources and invest to expand these.
- Plan for and complete evaluation of all projects.
- Address the broader determinants of health.
- Base activities on the best available data and evidence.
- Act to reduce social inequities and injustice.
- Emphasise active consumer and community participation.
- Empower individuals and communities.
- Explicitly consider differences in gender and culture.
- Work in collaboration.
